Frequently asked

Where is my data stored?

On your iPhone. Tether uses Apple's SwiftData framework to keep all entries on-device. Nothing is sent to a server.

How do I export my data?

Open Settings → Privacy & data → Export all data. Tether generates a JSON file with everything you've logged and opens the iOS share sheet so you can email it to yourself, save it to Files, or send it to your doctor.

How do I delete my data?

Open Settings → Privacy & data → Delete all data. This permanently removes every entry. You can also delete the Tether app from your iPhone, which removes all of its data with it.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, then tap Tether Premium. From there you can change plans, cancel, or restore.

What if I cancel — do I lose my data?

No. Cancelling Premium only disables the premium features. Your logs, profile, and history all remain on your device exactly as before.

Why does Tether ask for location, camera, or Apple Health permissions?

Only when you turn on the corresponding Premium feature.

See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.

I logged something as anaphylaxis — what now?

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call your local emergency number or contact your healthcare provider immediately. Tether shows a reminder banner the day after an anaphylaxis log, and you can store an emergency contact and rescue medications in Settings → Emergency info so they are easy to find.

Will Tether work on iPad or Mac?

Tether is currently designed for iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
