Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Hypermobile — EDS Joint Tracker ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS application designed to help people with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder, and related comorbidities track joint events, Beighton scores, daily symptoms, and optional POTS / MCAS data.

2. Information You Enter

Everything you log inside the app — including joint events, daily check-ins, Beighton score assessments, POTS readings, MCAS reactions, and any free-text notes — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data does not leave your device, is not transmitted to our servers, and is not accessible to us.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, date of birth, or any personally identifying information.
• We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data.
• We do not require an account or login.
• We do not use third-party analytics or crash reporting services.
• We do not use advertising trackers or share any data with advertisers.

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

Premium features in the app are offered via auto-renewing subscriptions purchased through Apple's App Store. When you subscribe:

• The purchase is processed by Apple, not by us.
• We receive only the subscription entitlement status (active / inactive) from Apple's StoreKit framework — we do not see your payment details, Apple ID, name, or address.
• Apple's own privacy policy governs how your purchase information is handled. See apple.com/legal/privacy.

4. Reports You Export

The Reports feature lets you generate a PDF summary of your tracked data for clinical appointments. When you export a PDF:

• The PDF is generated on your device.
• It is your responsibility to decide whether and how to share it (e.g., via Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Files).
• We do not see, upload, or store the contents of any exported report.

5. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, and the app is intended for use by individuals managing their own health data or by a guardian assisting a minor in their care.

6. Your Data, Your Control

Because all data lives on your device, you control it directly:

• To delete individual entries, use the swipe-to-delete actions inside the app.
• To delete all data, uninstall the app — iOS will remove the app's local database.

7. Medical Disclaimer

Hypermobile — EDS Joint Tracker is a personal tracking tool. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. The data you record is self-reported and should be reviewed with a qualified clinician — it is not a substitute for medical advice, examination, or treatment.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this Privacy Policy, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Because the app does not require an account, we have no way to notify you directly — please check back periodically if you want to stay informed.
