Hypermobile — EDS Joint Tracker is a personal tracking app for people living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder, and related comorbidities. It's designed to be clinically credible — useful in front of your rheumatologist, geneticist, or physical therapist.
What the app does
- Today — a quick daily check-in for overall pain, fatigue, unstable joints, meds and braces used, and notes.
- Joint Log — tap a joint on the body map to log a subluxation or dislocation, including event type, severity, reduction method, pain at the time, and what you were doing when it happened.
- Beighton — record your 9-point Beighton score over time and see the trend.
- Comorbidities — optional POTS and MCAS modules for the EDS "trifecta." Enable only what's relevant to you.
- Insights — trends over time: pain, fatigue, most-affected joints, weekly event frequency.
- Reports — generate a multi-page PDF summary of your data for clinical appointments.
Frequently asked questions
Where is my data stored?
All your data is stored locally on your device. It's not uploaded to any server, and we have no access to it. If you uninstall the app, the data is deleted with it.
Does the app sync between my iPhone and iPad?
Not currently. Each device keeps its own local database. If cross-device sync is added in the future, it will use Apple's encrypted iCloud services and remain end-to-end private.
How do I cancel my subscription or free trial?
- Open the iOS Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Find Hypermobile — EDS Joint Tracker and tap Cancel Subscription.
To avoid being charged after the free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. You'll keep access until the end of the current billing period.
I subscribed on another device. How do I restore my subscription?
Open the paywall in the app and tap Restore purchases. As long as you're signed in to the same Apple ID that made the original purchase, your premium access will be restored.
Which features need Premium?
- Beighton score history and trend chart
- Comorbidity modules (POTS and MCAS)
- Insights ranges beyond 30 days
- PDF report export
The Today check-in and Joint Log are free and unlimited.
I'm in the free trial. When will I be charged?
The free trial lasts 7 days. On day 7, your subscription auto-renews at the standard monthly price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. You can see the exact renewal date on the paywall screen before starting the trial.
Can I export my data?
Yes — Premium subscribers can generate a multi-page PDF from the Reports tab that includes a cover summary, full joint event history, Beighton trend, and pain/fatigue charts. The PDF is generated on-device and can be shared via any installed app (Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Files, etc.).
Is this app a medical device?
No. Hypermobile — EDS Joint Tracker is a personal symptom tracker. It's not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Self-reported data is useful for spotting patterns and for sharing with clinicians, but it isn't a substitute for medical advice or examination.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
Email wbasidehustle@gmail.com with:
- Your iPhone or iPad model
- The iOS version you're running
- What you were trying to do when it happened
- Screenshots if you have them
Do you have a feature request?
I'd love to hear it — email wbasidehustle@gmail.com. The app is actively developed and patient feedback shapes the roadmap directly.
Quick tips
- The body map covers the most common joints. For fingers, ribs, SI joint, patella, and toes, use the Other joints menu below the map.
- The trigger context field on each joint event is one of the most useful long-term signals — even a brief note ("sleeping on left side", "carried groceries") helps surface patterns.
- Log Beighton scores at consistent intervals (e.g., quarterly) for the trend chart to be meaningful.
- If you only want joint tracking, you can ignore the comorbidity modules entirely — they're strictly opt-in.
